Humberto Rezende Pereira, known as Beto Pereira, was born on November 14, 1977, in Campo Grande (MS) . A law graduate and businessman, he began his public career at a young age, having served as mayor of Terenos (MS) , where he distinguished himself through urban and rural infrastructure projects, the construction of affordable housing, and the implementation of full-time schools and the "One Laptop Per Child (OLPC)" project , a pioneer in the Central-West region. He is the son of former senator Valter Pereira and the great-great-grandson of the founder of Campo Grande, consolidating a political base at the state level before migrating to the federal sphere.

During this time, he chaired the Constitution, Justice and Drafting Committee and reported on the Fuel/Enersul/Energisa CPI in the state Legislative Assembly. In 2018, he was elected federal deputy for Mato Grosso do Sul , being re-elected in 2022 with a significant vote. In the House of Representatives , he was a member of the Board of Directors , serving as alternate secretary in the 2023-2025 term , and acts as a leader of the PSDB in the federal caucus , integrating the party leadership and coordinating efforts to secure investments for the state.
In the National Congress , Beto Pereira's work focuses on accessibility, inclusion, electoral regulations, and public safety , in addition to allocating resources and coordinating amendments for works and services in Mato Grosso do Sul . In 2025 , he registered 87 proposals of his own authorship and 1 reported on the House of Representatives's website.
