Ranking dos Políticos is an independent initiative founded in 2011 with the mission of encouraging good public governance, strengthening democracy, and bringing citizens closer to parliamentary activity. We work to transform public data into accessible information, enabling anyone to monitor, compare, and evaluate the performance of elected representatives.

Our work is completely nonpartisan and independent of governments and political parties. We believe that transparency is essential for the National Congress to become an institution that Brazilians can be proud of. That is why we produce rankings, studies, and analyses that provide a clear and reliable view of the work carried out by congresspersons.

We believe that building a better country depends on strengthening the rule of law, including improving the efficiency of public administration, fostering a better business environment, and combating corruption.

The evolution of Ranking dos Políticos over the years

2011

Foundation

Creation of Ranking dos Políticos’ CNPJ, with the mission of evaluating parliamentarians in a nonpartisan way, and the beginning of the platform’s development

2013

First Edition of the Ranking

Publication of the first national ranking of parliamentary performance

2014

Digital Expansion

During the general elections, Ranking dos Políticos reached 1 million followers on Facebook

2016

Creation of Parliamentary Excellence

The first edition of Parliamentary Excellence was held, a ceremony that has since annually awarded the highest-ranking parliamentarians of the legislative year.

2018

Innovation with “My Ranking”

Users began creating personalized rankings based on their convictions

2020

Production of Studies and Analyses

Expansion of the work with technical reports and research

2023

Institutional Strengthening

Launch of the supporters plan, allowing legal entities to financially support the institution

2024

New Visual Identity

Launch of Ranking’s new brand, reinforcing its institutional seriousness and aligning our communication with a more modern language

New Website

Beginning of the complete redesign of the platform to offer greater usability, transparency and engagement
