Yandra Moura

Yandra Barreto Ferreira Moura is a Brazilian lawyer and politician born on April 25, 1994, in Aracaju (SE) . Elected federal deputy for Sergipe by União Brasil in 2022 with 131,471 votes , she became the most voted in the state's history and the first woman elected to represent Sergipe in the House of Representatives , assuming her mandate in the 2023–2027 legislature . Daughter of former deputy André Moura, she holds a law degree from Tiradentes University and specializations in Labor Law, Tax Law, and Corporate Governance, and built her political career from community activism and advocacy for social causes before reaching the National Congress.

Political Career

Institutionally, Yandra Moura has held important leadership positions in Congress since the beginning of her term. She is the vice-leader of União Brasil in the Federal House of Representatives and, in 2025, was officially appointed vice-leader of the largest party bloc in the House , participating in leaders' meetings and collaborating in defining the national legislative agenda, especially on economic and budgetary issues. She is also the president of the National Integration and Regional Development Commission (CINDRE) , a strategic body for debating regional inequalities and infrastructure, in addition to being a full member of the Constitution and Justice and Citizenship Commission (CCJC) , the Defense of Women's Rights Commission, and the Foreign Relations and National Defense Commission, as well as special commissions such as the one dealing with Obstetric Violence and Maternal Mortality and the one that monitors municipalities that have lost FPM resources.

Performance in the House of Representatives

In her legislative work, Yandra Moura has a robust output of bills, reports, and opinions that reflect her priorities in health, inclusion, and social protection. Among these proposals are Bill 507/2023 , which amends regulations on medical reports for people with Autism Spectrum Disorder and permanent disabilities; Bill 4828/2024 (which establishes the month of "White October" to promote the value of medicine); Bill 269/2025 (a bracelet with a QR code for identifying patients with Epidermolysis Bullosa); Bill 2694/2024 (support for young people leaving foster care institutions); and Bill 78/2023 (adjustments to the Municipal Participation Fund), among many others focused on digital inclusion, social benefits, and the rights of vulnerable groups. One of their most recent proposals evaluated is the approved proposal that guarantees paid menstrual leave of up to three days per month for women with severe symptoms, reinforcing the protection of health and dignity at work.
