Wilder Pedro de Morais, born in Taquaral de Goiás, is a Brazilian businessman, entrepreneur, engineer, and politician affiliated with the Liberal Party (PL) . He holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the then Catholic University of Goiás.
In 1997, he co-founded Orca Construtora , a construction company that, among other clients, renovated and built buildings for the Carrefour chain in the country, without ever having undertaken public works projects.
He began his political career in 2011, when he was appointed to the position of Secretary of State for Infrastructure of Goiás. The following year, he was elected to the position of Senator (2012-2019) and presented more than 200 legislative proposals involving bills and reports, with agendas of great popular support, such as the repeal of the disarmament statute , the end of the fine industry , municipalism and the fight against bureaucracy.
Wilder became known as the "Senator of Books" for distributing more than 1.2 million books free of charge to students and professionals throughout the state of Goiás.
He is currently serving his second term as senator. He was elected to the position again for Goiás in the state elections with 25.25% of the vote (799,022 votes), defeating the clear favorite for the seat, Marconi Perillo (PSDB) , who obtained 19.80% of the vote.
The main causes championed by the senator are education, promoting entrepreneurship, and public safety.

He is the author of Bill 1207/2024 , which amends Law No. 10,826, of December 22, 2003, which provides for the registration, possession and sale of firearms and ammunition, the National Weapons System – Sinarm, defines crimes and provides other measures, to address the acquisition, registration and authorization to carry firearms.
He is the author of Bill 748/2024 , which amends Article 25 of Decree-Law No. 2,848, of December 7, 1940 – the Penal Code, to broaden the grounds for self-defense in cases of home invasion.
He was the rapporteur for Bill 550/2022 , which provides for the extension of rural credit debts, and takes other measures.
Acknowledgements
Wilder Morais received the Parliamentary Excellence Award in 2023 and 2025 from the Ranking of Politicians , being the best parliamentarian in Goiás and 12th in the overall ranking.
