Trajectory
Waldenor Alves Pereira Filho was born on March 8, 1954 , in Caculé , in southwestern Bahia. He is an economist, graduated from the Faculty of Economic Sciences of Bahia, with postgraduate studies in Public Programming and Budgeting from UFBA and a diploma of advanced studies in Public Management from the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain. He served two terms as rector of the State University of Southwest Bahia (UESB) and chaired the Forum of Rectors of State Universities of Bahia.
His political career began in 2002 when he was elected state deputy of Bahia , being re-elected in 2006. During this period, he stood out as the government leader in the Legislative Assembly during Jaques Wagner's administration. In 2010, he was elected federal deputy , a position he has held since 2011, having been re-elected in 2014, 2018, and 2022. Throughout his time in the House of Representatives, he also served as vice-leader of the Workers' Party in different legislatures.
In Congress, Waldenor Pereira primarily works in the areas of education, public budget, and regional development. In 2025, he presented 121 proposals and reported on 6 projects , in addition to participating in 204 plenary votes . He is a full member of the Education and Participatory Legislation committees, and an alternate member of the Culture committee.

I request, pursuant to Article 155, item I, of the Internal Regulations of the House of Representatives, an Urgent Procedure for Bill 2158/23, authored by Senator EFRAIM FILHO, UNIÃO/PB, which amends Law No. 5,991, of December 17, 1973, which "provides for the Sanitary Control of the Trade in Drugs, Medicines, Pharmaceutical Inputs and Related Products, and takes other measures", to regulate the sale of medicines in pharmacies or drugstores located in the sales area of supermarkets.
