Trajectory
Valdir Vital Cobalchini was born on September 7, 1963, in São Lourenço d'Oeste, Santa Catarina. A lawyer by training, and also a farmer, Cobalchini worked for many years in state public positions in Santa Catarina, having held secretarial and executive positions in the state before winning a federal mandate.
In his political career, Cobalchini was elected federal deputy for Santa Catarina for the 2023-2027 term, affiliated with the MDB party. He came from experience as a state deputy in Santa Catarina (terms 2008-2019) before making the leap to the federal sphere.
In the National Congress, Cobalchini participates as a member of the Special Committee on Digital Law and the Committee on Agriculture, Livestock, Supply and Rural Development (CAPADR). In 2025, he is reported to have authored 244 proposals and served as rapporteur for 24 legislative projects. His work combines the areas of rural infrastructure, family farming, and technology, reflecting both his state base in Santa Catarina and the federal demands he represents.
Acknowledgements
Cobalchini received the Parliamentary Excellence Award in 2024, 2025, and 2026 from the Ranking of Politicians , being the 3rd best parliamentarian in Santa Catarina and 58th in the overall ranking for the Legislature.
