Trajectory
Tereza Cristina Corrêa da Costa Dias, born in Campo Grande/MS on July 6, 1954, graduated in Agronomic Engineering from the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV). Before beginning her political career, she worked as a businesswoman in the agricultural sector and held various positions in trade associations related to agribusiness.
Tereza Cristina began her political career in 2007 as Secretary of Agrarian Development, Production, Industry, Commerce and Tourism of Mato Grosso do Sul during the government of André Puccinelli (MDB). She was one of the leaders who defended the approval of Bill 6.299, which relaxes the rules for the inspection and application of pesticides in the country.
In 2010, she was elected state representative for Mato Grosso do Sul by the Brazilian Social Democracy Party (PSDB). In 2014, already affiliated with the Brazilian Socialist Party (PSB), she was elected federal representative for Mato Grosso do Sul with 75,149 votes and re-elected in 2018 with 75,068 votes by the DEM.
In 2019, Tereza Cristina was appointed Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply by President Jair Bolsonaro. Among her main achievements as minister are:
In 2022, she was elected senator for Mato Grosso do Sul by the Progressive Party (PP) with 519,251 votes.

In 2016, she was one of the federal deputies who voted in favor of the impeachment of President Dilma Rousseff . She voted in favor of several economic reforms, such as the Constitutional Amendment that established the Spending Cap Rule in 2016 and the Labor Reform in 2017.
