Trajectory
Silvye Alves da Silva was born on November 8, 1980, in Goiânia (GO). Before entering politics, she gained prominence as a journalist and television presenter, working for Globo affiliates, the Italian RAI, and, more recently, RecordTV Goiás. Her professional background in journalism gave her visibility and legitimacy to question structural inequalities and violence, especially those directed against women.
She was elected federal deputy for the State of Goiás in 2022, representing the UNIÃO Brasil party, being the most voted candidate in her state in that election, with 254,653 votes.
Silvye Alves has prioritized parliamentary work in defense of women's rights, combating gender violence, public safety, and communication. She is a member of the Committees for the Defense of Women's Rights, Public Safety and Combating Organized Crime, and the Special Committee on Obstetric Violence and Maternal Mortality, in addition to participating in the Communication Committee. Among her projects, she presented Bill 890/23 , which proposes prison sentences of 2 to 5 years for misogynistic insults, that is, offenses based on the condition of female gender, and a fine; the proposal seeks to criminalize misogynistic practices that, according to her, foster discrimination and more serious crimes. Another legislative milestone she approved was Bill 1099/2024 , which establishes the National Registry of Convicted Victims of Violence Against Women, created to facilitate the monitoring of aggressors and access to justice for victims. Furthermore, Silvye has assumed leadership roles, such as Director of Communications for the Parliamentary Agricultural Front, and has publicly stated, including in votes and speeches, that she intends to run for re-election in 2026, reaffirming her commitment to her electoral base in Goiás.
