Trajectory
Saulo Pedroso was the youngest mayor ever elected in Atibaia, winning the 2012 municipal election at the age of 29, and was also the youngest president of the City Council.
Before becoming mayor, Saulo had already entered public service in the Municipal Traffic Department between 2005 and 2006. It was in the 2008 election, after having been elected alternate councilman four years earlier, that he effectively occupied a seat in the Legislative branch, with 927 votes.
As mayor (between 2013 and 2020), Saulo accumulated milestones and great achievements, such as the strong investment in paving (more than 40 neighborhoods were paved) and Education among the 20 best in the country (he delivered 18 new daycare centers, created CIEM I and built CIEM II, one of the largest municipal elementary schools in the entire state). He also definitively broke through the city's social barriers by creating the largest Housing program in Atibaia's history, benefiting more than 1600 families.
It also made the largest investment in history in basic sanitation, with the construction of the new Central Water Treatment Plant (which, in addition to modernizing, will practically double the city's water treatment capacity) and the Caetetuba Wastewater Treatment Plant. A total investment of over R$130 million in sanitation, the largest investment in the entire region.
In 2022, he ran for Federal Deputy and received 80,186 votes, becoming the first alternate. He assumes the seat when Marco Bertaiolli goes to the TCSP (São Paulo State Court of Auditors).
Acknowledgements
Saulo Pedroso received the Parliamentary Excellence Award in 2024 and 2026 of the 57th Legislature (2023-2026) from the Ranking dos Políticos , being the 12th best parliamentarian in São Paulo and 43rd in the overall ranking for the Legislature.
