Trajectory
Rosana de Oliveira Valle is a Brazilian journalist, professor, writer, and politician, born on May 8, 1969, in Santos (SP). A journalism graduate, she worked for over two decades as a reporter and TV presenter in the Baixada Santista, South Coast, and Vale do Ribeira regions, including hosting the program Rota do Sol . She also published literary works before moving into institutional politics. In 2018, she was elected federal deputy for São Paulo, and re-elected in 2022 for her second term (57th Legislature: 2023–2027) representing the Liberal Party (PL), standing out as the most voted parliamentarian from the Baixada Santista and Vale do Ribeira regions in the election and a leading female figure in São Paulo politics.
In her political career, Rosana Valle has already held positions as deputy parliamentary leader in her first term, was general coordinator of the Women's Caucus in the House of Representatives, and in the current legislature, she holds the position of 1st vice-president of the Transportation and Communications Committee, in addition to being 1st secretary of the Brazil/Japan Parliamentary Group and a member of committees such as the Brazilian Representation in the Mercosur Parliament, the Transportation and Communications Committee, and the Special Committee on the Brazilian Port System (PL 733/2025). She also serves as an alternate member of committees such as the Defense of Women's Rights and Communication. Valle has defended agendas based on infrastructure, women's rights, public transparency, and the defense of regional interests of the Baixada Santista and the coast of São Paulo, and was the only federal deputy from the Baixada Santista to vote against increasing positions in the Supreme Federal Court in 2025, understanding that this would represent "wasteful spending" by the State.
In the National Congress, Rosana Valle has an active and numerous legislative performance, with approximately 116 proposals of her authorship and 4 reported in 2025 registered on the House of Representatives' website. In running text, her work includes the presentation of projects such as PL 184/2025, which amends Law No. 11,664/2008 to include guidelines for conducting preventive mammogram examinations by the SUS (Brazilian Public Health System) for women from the age of 40; PL 515/2025, which provides that retirees under the General Social Security Regime who return to work are exempt from social security contributions on their contribution salary; PL 6400/2025, which amends the Maria da Penha Law (Law No. 11,340/2006) to establish an urgency procedure in cases of non-compliance with protective measures and to improve measures to prevent femicide; Bill 4958/2025, which establishes rules for sanitary inspection and penalties for the falsification and alteration of food products and alcoholic beverages; Bill 1862/2025, which amends the Consolidation of Labor Laws (CLT) to allow absence from work for blood and platelet donation; and Bill 4997/2024, which establishes the National Policy for Comprehensive Care for People with Rare Diseases in the SUS (Brazilian Public Health System), initiatives that demonstrate its work in public health, social rights, food security, and the protection of women in the country.
