Rodrigo da Zaeli

Rodrigo Lugli (Rodrigo da Zaeli) is a Brazilian businessman and politician, born on November 26, 1975, in Umuarama (PR). He holds a degree in Business Administration and a postgraduate degree in Public Management. He moved to Rondonópolis (MT) in 1994, where he built his business career in the wholesale sector and became involved in local politics, serving as a city councilor for two terms and president of the Rondonópolis City Council before reaching the National Congress.

Political Career

In his political career, Rodrigo da Zaeli joined the Liberal Party (PL-MT) and ran for federal deputy for Mato Grosso in 2022, obtaining 6,965 votes and becoming an alternate. With the resignation of Deputy Abilio Brunini to assume the Mayoralty of Cuiabá, Zaeli assumed the mandate of federal deputy on January 1, 2025, beginning his first term in the House of Representatives in the 57th Legislature. In the House, he has already served as vice-leader of the PL and, on an interim basis, vice-leader of the Opposition at different times in 2025; he was also appointed 3rd vice-president of the Committee on Agriculture, Livestock, Supply and Rural Development.
