Trajectory
Rodrigo Batista de Castro was born in Viçosa (MG) and holds degrees in Administration and Law, with a master's degree in Strategic Management of Organizations. Before entering parliamentary life, he built a professional career linked to public management and the private sector, which contributed to his work focused on the formulation of public policies and regional development.
In his political career, he was elected federal deputy for Minas Gerais in 2006, being successively re-elected and accumulating several mandates in the House of Representatives. Throughout his party trajectory, he was a member of the PSDB and, later, União Brasil , the party he currently represents. In Parliament, he has held party leadership positions, including leading the PSDB caucus, in addition to occupying strategic positions on permanent committees and parliamentary fronts.
In the National Congress, Rodrigo de Castro has a distinguished career in the areas of health, social inclusion, energy, and regional development . He was president of the Mines and Energy Commission and served as a party leader , participating in the House's main legislative negotiations. He is the author of bills such as PL 6319/2025 , which deals with animal-assisted therapy within the SUS (Brazilian Public Health System); PL 6318/2025 , which establishes guidelines for the National Registry of Talents of People with Disabilities, Giftedness, and High Abilities; and PL 6317/2025 , which provides rules for disciplinary administrative processes. He also has experience as rapporteur and proposes bills on topics related to public health, inclusive policies, and modernization of state management, consolidating himself as one of the most experienced parliamentarians from Minas Gerais currently in office.

I request, pursuant to Article 155, item I, of the Internal Regulations of the House of Representatives, an Urgent Procedure for Bill 2158/23, authored by Senator EFRAIM FILHO, UNIÃO/PB, which amends Law No. 5,991, of December 17, 1973, which "provides for the Sanitary Control of the Trade in Drugs, Medicines, Pharmaceutical Inputs and Related Products, and takes other measures", to regulate the sale of medicines in pharmacies or drugstores located in the sales area of supermarkets.
