Roberto Duarte Júnior, born in Porto Alegre (RS) on April 25, 1975, is a lawyer with a postgraduate degree in Labor Law, practicing for about 20 years in the electoral, criminal, civil, and labor law fields. Before entering politics, he dedicated himself intensely to law practice and the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB), having served as an alternate sectional council member and president of the OAB/Acre's Prerogatives Commission, in addition to acting as an auditor member of the Acre Sports Justice Tribunal.
Roberto Duarte ran for Senate in 2014, unsuccessfully. In 2016, he was elected city councilor of Rio Branco (AC) with 3,984 votes, being the most voted in the city. In 2018, he became the most voted state deputy in Acre with 9,405 votes. Affiliated with the Republicanos party in March 2022, he was elected federal deputy for Acre with 14,522 votes, beginning his term on February 1, 2023. In May 2023, he assumed the presidency of Republicanos in Acre.
He was deputy leader of the MDB, PSD, Republicanos and PODE bloc between 03/26/2024 and 01/31/2025.
He has chaired the Brazil-Bolivia and Brazil-Peru Parliamentary Groups since February 2, 2023.
She is a member of the External Committee on Stalled and Unfinished Public Works, the Special Committee on the Constitutional Amendment Proposal on the Accumulation of Teaching Positions (PEC 169/19), the Special Committee on Tax Immunity (PEC 005/23), and the CCJC (Committee on Constitution, Justice and Citizenship).
By 2025, he had already submitted 104 proposals of his own authorship and served as rapporteur for 13 of them.
