Trajectory
Reginaldo Veras Coelho, born in Crateús/CE on January 2, 1973, is a Brazilian professor and politician affiliated with the Green Party (PV). He currently serves as a federal deputy for the Federal District since 2023.
Originally from the Northeast of Brazil, Reginaldo Veras became a resident of Brasília in his childhood, in 1976. In the federal capital, he completed his bachelor's and teaching degrees in geography at the University of Brasília (UnB). He pursued postgraduate studies in ecotourism and environmental education at the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA). From 1992 to 2015, he worked as a teacher in the public school system of the Federal District. After his election to parliament, he began teaching in preparatory courses.
In 2013, Veras joined the Democratic Labour Party (PDT). The following year, he was elected district deputy for the Federal District with 12,506 votes. During the seventh legislature, he was elected president of the Education, Health and Culture Committee and the Constitution and Justice Committee. Veras was re-elected district deputy in the 2018 election with 27,998 votes, the third highest vote count for the position in that election. In 2022, he was elected federal deputy for the Federal District with 54,557 votes .
During his term as a federal deputy, Professor Reginaldo Veras has distinguished himself through his work on issues related to education, health, culture, and the environment. He voted in favor of the 2023 tax reform .

Reginaldo Veras received the Parliamentary Excellence Award in 2024 from the Ranking of Politicians , with a score of 8.31 points, making him the 3rd best parliamentarian in the Federal District and 71st in the overall ranking.
