Trajectory
Coming from a family with a tradition in trade unions, Randolfe Rodrigues began his political activism at a young age, influenced by issues related to social justice, human rights, and the environment.
Political career
He initially joined the Workers' Party (PT) and later the PSOL, for which he was elected state deputy of Amapá. In 2010, he was elected senator of the Republic, becoming the most voted parliamentarian in his state. In 2015, he left the PSOL and joined Rede Sustentabilidade, the party for which he was re-elected senator in 2018. In 2024, he returned to the PT.
Performance in the Senate
He gained national prominence by authoring the request to establish the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry into the Pandemic . He is a prominent figure in environmental issues, institutional transparency, oversight of the Executive branch, and the defense of human rights, being one of the leading voices of the opposition during the Bolsonaro administration. He is the leader of the Lula government in the Federal Senate.
