Pedro Lucas Fernandes

Pedro Lucas Fernandes is a Brazilian administrator and politician, currently serving his second term as a federal deputy for União Brasil. He is the son of former federal deputy and current mayor of Arame, Pedro Fernandes . He was the first president of the Metropolitan Executive Agency (AGEM), a secretariat focused on carrying out works and improvements in the infrastructure of the São Luís metropolitan region.

Elections

He began his electoral career in 2012, being elected councilman of São Luís by the PTB with 4,089 votes and re-elected in 2016 with 9,049 votes , being the third most voted on that occasion.

In 2018, he ran for federal deputy, still with the PTB party, and was the 6th most voted, with 111,538 votes. He was re-elected federal deputy in 2012, with an impressive 160,000 votes.

National Congress

During his first term as a federal deputy, Pedro Lucas Fernandes distinguished himself by leading his party's caucus for two years, demonstrating his political skills and ability to foster dialogue and negotiation within the National Congress. Furthermore, his influence on the political scene earned him recognition as one of the 100 most influential parliamentarians in Congress, according to DIAP.

In 2023, he co-founded, along with Congressman Marcio Jerry (PCdoB), the Mixed Parliamentary Front in Defense of Oil Exploration on Brazil's Equatorial Margin . The proposal seeks to contribute to Brazil's oil and gas exploration in deep and ultra-deep waters in the region.
