Trajectory
Pedro Francisco Uczai is a Brazilian university professor, historian, writer, and politician born on March 10, 1963, in Descanso, Santa Catarina . A member of the Workers' Party (PT) , Uczai has a long public career in Santa Catarina: he was a state representative , vice-mayor, and mayor of Chapecó , and was elected federal deputy in 2010 , taking office in 2011. Since then, he has been re-elected to the federal mandate , currently serving his fourth term in the 2023–2027 legislature , being one of the main representatives of the PT in Santa Catarina in Brasília.
In institutional political activity, Uczai stands out for his articulation and leadership within the Santa Catarina delegation and in the House of Representatives. He was elected coordinator of the Santa Catarina Parliamentary Forum , a role in which he articulates demands from Santa Catarina with Congress and the federal government in favor of public works and policies for the state. He also serves as a member of committees and chaired the Participatory Legislation Committee (CLP) , a body responsible for bringing Parliament closer to civil society. His institutional activity also includes participation in debates on education, regional development, social rights and sustainability, as well as allocating parliamentary amendments for education, health and infrastructure in municipalities of Santa Catarina.
In his legislative work, Uczai has produced a wide range of projects that reflect his core values of education, social equality, sustainable development, and citizen participation. Among the proposals he has presented are Bill 115/2025 , which declares Santa Catarina as a "Reference State for National Cooperativism" aiming to strengthen the cooperative sector in Santa Catarina; Bill 4449/2023 , which establishes the Basic Energy Income Program (REBE) ; Bill 4574/2024 , which creates the Light in School Program to promote renewable energy in public schools; Bill 1707/2024 , which includes solar cooperatives among the entities eligible for guarantees from the Guarantee Fund for Operations (FGO); Bill 2453/2024 , which specifies educational benefits for deaf students; and Bill 4217/2024 , which establishes financial-educational incentives in savings for university students. and Bill 4502/2024 , which expands rights for students with ADHD, autism, and other educational conditions. These proposals demonstrate their commitment to education, inclusion, solidarity economy, and sustainability.

I request, pursuant to Article 155, item I, of the Internal Regulations of the House of Representatives, an Urgent Procedure for Bill 2158/23, authored by Senator EFRAIM FILHO, UNIÃO/PB, which amends Law No. 5,991, of December 17, 1973, which "provides for the Sanitary Control of the Trade in Drugs, Medicines, Pharmaceutical Inputs and Related Products, and takes other measures", to regulate the sale of medicines in pharmacies or drugstores located in the sales area of supermarkets.
