Trajectory

Pedro Doshikazu Pianchao Aihara, born in Belo Horizonte/MG on February 16, 1993, graduated in Law from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) and holds a Master's degree in Human Rights from the same institution. In addition, he specialized in Project Management at the University of São Paulo, in Japanese Disaster Prevention Measures at Yamaguchi University, in Public Management at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF), and in Management with an emphasis on Business at the Dom Cabral Foundation.

Political career

He became known for being the spokesperson for the Minas Gerais Military Fire Department during the Brumadinho dam collapse disaster in 2019, which gave him national visibility. He began his political career in 2022, when he was elected federal deputy for Minas Gerais by the Patriota party, obtaining 89,404 votes .

Performance in the National Congress

During his term as a federal deputy, Pedro Aihara has distinguished himself through his work on issues related to public safety, civil defense, and the environment. Among his main areas of focus are:

  • President of the Commission for the Defense of the Rights of the Elderly.

  • President of the Parliamentary Front for the Prevention and Care of Burn Victims.

  • President of the Parliamentary Front for Risk and Disaster Management and Humanitarian Cooperation.

  • Pedro Aihara is also one of the main organizers of the External Commission on Monitoring Dam Collapses and Renegotiation, as well as being a key figure in the debate on Constitutional Amendment Proposal 44/2023.

Acknowledgements

Pedro Aihara received the Parliamentary Excellence Award from the Politicians Ranking in every year of the 57th Legislature (2023-2026), being the 4th best parliamentarian in Minas Gerais and 27th in the overall ranking for the Legislature.
