Trajectory
Paulo Abi-Ackel is a Brazilian lawyer who graduated in Law from Faculdade Milton Campos. He is the son of Ibrahim Abi-Ackel, a well-known political figure in Minas Gerais, who participated in the Legislative Assembly of Minas Gerais, the National Congress, and also held the position of Minister of Justice during the government of João Figueiredo.
Paulo Abi-Ackel entered politics and was first elected to the Brazilian House of Representatives in 2006. Since then, he has been re-elected for three consecutive terms, always representing the Brazilian Social Democracy Party (PSDB). His political activity has been significant within the party, and he is a close ally of Aécio Neves, one of the most prominent figures in the PSDB.
Throughout his political career, Paulo Abi-Ackel held important positions, such as the presidency of the PSDB in Minas Gerais and the party's leadership in the House of Representatives. He is recognized for his work within the National Congress and for his involvement in the political activities of the state of Minas Gerais.
In the most recent elections, Paulo Abi-Ackel obtained more than 105,000 votes, which guaranteed him a fifth consecutive term as a federal deputy. His work has been marked by representing the interests of the PSDB party and by his role as an integral part of the political landscape of Minas Gerais and Brazil.
