Natália Bastos Bonavides is a lawyer, human rights activist, and federal deputy for Rio Grande do Norte (PT) , currently serving her second term in the House of Representatives (2019–2023 and 2023–2027) . Born on June 15, 1988 , in Natal (RN) , she holds a degree in Law and a master's degree in Constitutional Law from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN). Her political career began in student activism and social movements, including work as a popular lawyer in organizations such as the MST (Landless Rural Workers Movement) and the World March of Women. She was a city councilor in Natal in 2016 , being the most voted PT candidate in the state, and in the 2022 election she was the most voted federal deputy in Rio Grande do Norte , with more than 157,000 votes.
In institutional political activity, Bonavides is one of the PT's leading figures in the House of Representatives, serving as vice-leader of his party and participating in important legislative committees. He is a member of committees such as the Education Committee and has also served on the Urban Development Committee , in addition to participating in parliamentary fronts on human rights, gender equality, and social transformation. His work emphasizes the defense of social rights, racial and gender equality, the protection of vulnerable communities, and the strengthening of public policies. Furthermore, Bonavides stands out for his coordination within the Northeast caucus and for submitting parliamentary amendments totaling tens of millions of reais in resources for health, education, security, and infrastructure projects in Rio Grande do Norte .
In the legislative sphere, Natália Bonavides has presented and co-authored several bills that reflect her progressive and social causes. Among the registered projects are proposals such as PL 3159/2019 , which prevents homeschooling from replacing school attendance; PL 3059/2019 , which amends the Maria da Penha Law to restrict absolute excuses in cases of domestic violence; PL 2237/2024 , which ensures the postponement of hearings for pregnant or breastfeeding lawyers; PL 3235/2024 , which establishes the so-called Maria Ludeni Law to include paramedical micropigmentation services in the SUS (Brazilian Public Health System); and PL 6352/2025 , which provides for the protection of state-owned information technology companies as instruments of digital sovereignty. She also presented projects focused on topics such as the rehiring of temporary employees, policies for the care of people with Behçet's disease, and policies for the inclusion of women in sports, demonstrating thematic diversity in her parliamentary proposals.

I request, pursuant to Article 155, item I, of the Internal Regulations of the House of Representatives, an Urgent Procedure for Bill 2158/23, authored by Senator EFRAIM FILHO, UNIÃO/PB, which amends Law No. 5,991, of December 17, 1973, which "provides for the Sanitary Control of the Trade in Drugs, Medicines, Pharmaceutical Inputs and Related Products, and takes other measures", to regulate the sale of medicines in pharmacies or drugstores located in the sales area of supermarkets.
