Trajectory
Maurício Fonseca Ribeiro Carvalho de Moraes was born on June 25, 1988, in Porto Velho, Rondônia. A medical doctor and businessman, he gained experience in the private sector before entering public life.
His political career included serving as a city councilor in Porto Velho (2017-2020) and as vice-mayor of the same capital (2021-2022) before being elected federal deputy in 2022 for the state of Rondônia, assuming office on February 1, 2023, for the 2023-2027 legislature.
In the House of Representatives, Maurício Carvalho assumed leadership positions: he was vice-leader of the UNION caucus from July 11, 2024 to January 31, 2025. In March 2025, he was elected president of the House of Representatives' Education Committee, giving him a central role in the formulation of national educational policies. His legislative work already includes 234 authored proposals and 10 reported projects in 2025.
Acknowledgements
Maurício Carvalho received the Parliamentary Excellence Award in 2025 and 2026 of the 57th Legislature (2023-2026) from the Ranking of Politicians , being the 1st best parliamentarian in Roraima and 44th in the overall ranking for the Legislature.

I request, pursuant to Article 155, item I, of the Internal Regulations of the House of Representatives, an Urgent Procedure for Bill 2158/23, authored by Senator EFRAIM FILHO, UNIÃO/PB, which amends Law No. 5,991, of December 17, 1973, which "provides for the Sanitary Control of the Trade in Drugs, Medicines, Pharmaceutical Inputs and Related Products, and takes other measures", to regulate the sale of medicines in pharmacies or drugstores located in the sales area of supermarkets.
