Mauricio Bedin Marcon, born in Caxias do Sul/RS on January 24, 1987, holds a degree in Economics from the University of Caxias do Sul (UCS). He began his professional life at age 14 working with his father and, at 18, became an intern at Banco Santander, being promoted to account manager at 19. At age 20, he left the bank to open a securities brokerage firm, later becoming associated with a construction company and an education company focused on the financial market.
Mauricio Marcon first ran for city councilor in Caxias do Sul in 2016 and for federal deputy in 2018, without being elected in either race. He gained public prominence in 2020 when he was elected the most voted city councilor in Caxias do Sul. In 2022, he was elected federal deputy for Rio Grande do Sul by Podemos, with 140,634 votes.
As a member of parliament, Mauricio Marcon's main causes are the defense of economic liberalism and the debureaucratization of the State. In terms of legislative production, Mauricio Marcon has presented proposals such as the PEC Pluralidade Sindical (Constitutional Amendment Proposal on Union Plurality), which amends Article 8, item II, of the Federal Constitution to allow the creation of more than one union representing a category in the same territorial base. He also filed PEC 40/2025, which amends Article 7 of the Constitution (currently under consideration), proposing to give employees the option between the CLT (Consolidation of Labor Laws) regime or a flexible regime based on hours worked. He is part of the board of the Parliamentary Business Front (FPN), created in 2025.
Acknowledgements
Mauricio Marcon received the Parliamentary Excellence Award in 2023, 2025, and 2026 of the 57th Legislature (2023-2026) from the Ranking dos Políticos , being the 9th best parliamentarian in Rio Grande do Sul and 45th in the overall ranking for the Legislature.

I request, pursuant to Article 155, item I, of the Internal Regulations of the House of Representatives, an Urgent Procedure for Bill 2158/23, authored by Senator EFRAIM FILHO, UNIÃO/PB, which amends Law No. 5,991, of December 17, 1973, which "provides for the Sanitary Control of the Trade in Drugs, Medicines, Pharmaceutical Inputs and Related Products, and takes other measures", to regulate the sale of medicines in pharmacies or drugstores located in the sales area of supermarkets.
