Trajectory
Delegate Palumbo is a Brazilian politician currently serving his first term as a Federal Deputy. His background is humble, and he is known for his Christian beliefs, associating himself with religious issues in his political work. He is the son of a former priest and has a strong identification with matters of faith.
During his 2022 election campaign, Delegate Palumbo focused on defending the concept of a "third way" in politics, and made strong criticisms of the Workers' Party (PT). He was successful in the elections, being elected Federal Deputy with an impressive 254,898 votes, which placed him as the tenth most voted parliamentarian in his region.
Since 2001, Delegate Palumbo has been present in the media and has dedicated himself to openly defending the police institution, seeking to counter the frequent criticisms directed at the police. He also seeks to increase the visibility of the positive actions of the police in the state of São Paulo.
An important part of his media work involved collaborating with cameramen and producers of the television program "Operação de Risco" on Rede TV!. This involvement resulted in the creation of a reality show format that emerged from real operations against drug trafficking.
Delegate Palumbo states that he was influenced by his friend and presenter of the program "Brasil Urgente," José Luiz Datena, to enter politics. Because of this, he left his position as a delegate in 2020 to run for a seat on the São Paulo City Council. Successfully, he assumed the position in 2021, obtaining an impressive 118,395 votes, making him the third most voted in the country in his category, with a campaign that stood out for its low financial cost.
Acknowledgements
Delegate Palumbo received the Parliamentary Excellence Award in 2023 and 2026 of the 57th Legislature (2023-2026) from the Ranking of Politicians , being the 11th best parliamentarian in São Paulo and the 42nd in the overall ranking for the Legislature.
