Helena Lima

Maria Helena Teixeira Lima , better known as Helena Lima , was born on March 30, 1976 , in Araguatins (TO) and raised in São João da Baliza (RR) , the state she came to represent in federal politics. She holds degrees in Biology and Law , with professional experience as a businesswoman, especially in the passenger transport sector with the company Asatur Turismo , which operates in Roraima, in addition to having worked as a public servant and university professor. Her personal and professional trajectory is intertwined with community engagement and local entrepreneurship, which contributed to her entry into politics.

Political career

Helena Lima began her political career by running in the 2022 elections, when she was elected federal deputy for Roraima by the MDB party , assuming her first term in the 57th Legislature (2023–2027) in the House of Representatives, being the only woman elected for Roraima in this election . Her parliamentary work has focused on issues such as infrastructure, entrepreneurship, sports, women's rights, education and health , in addition to participation in regional parliamentary fronts and thematic areas related to social rights.

Performance in the House of Representatives

In the National Congress , Helena Lima has registered 74 proposals of her own authorship and 13 reported on until 2025, serving as a full member of the Transportation and Communications Committee and the Sports Committee , and has already held vice-presidential positions in the Sports Committee (3rd vice-president in 2024 and 2nd vice-president in 2025) , in addition to serving as an alternate member of committees such as Health and the Amazon and Indigenous Peoples Committee. She was also appointed deputy leader of the UNION/PP/PSD/Republicans/MDB/PSDB Federation/CITIZENSHIP/PODE bloc since November 2025. Among her bills are PL No. 1014/2025 (amends the regulation of the professions of biologist and biomedical scientist), PL No. 1940/2025 (expands family farming policies), PL No. 3209/2025 (physical education in basic education) and PL No. 6129/2025 (regulates the profession of gastronome), in addition to other proposals on traffic, breastfeeding, MEI (Individual Microentrepreneur) and social assistance.
