Detinha is a federal congresswoman currently serving her first term, having won the position of the most voted federal congresswoman in Maranhão with an impressive 161,206 votes in the 2022 elections. Her significant electoral victory reflects the strong support she received from voters in Maranhão.

With family ties to politics, Detinha is married to Josimar Maranhãozinho (PL), a federal deputy re-elected for Maranhão, and also serves as the state president of PL-Mulher, demonstrating her active involvement in political and social issues.

Her political career began in 2005 when she took over the Social Assistance Secretariat of the municipality of Maranhãozinho. This was the starting point for her political rise, culminating in her election as mayor of the municipality of Centro do Guilherme (MA) in 2008. During her terms as mayor, Detinha implemented impactful policies in the social sphere, focusing on infrastructure, health, and education, demonstrating her commitment to improving the quality of life of citizens.

Her effective management and achievements led to her re-election in 2012, consolidating her political influence in the region.
