Trajectory
Maria Auxiliadora Seabra Rezende, known as Professor Dorinha, built a solid career in education. She worked as a teacher and public administrator, standing out in the formulation and implementation of educational policies in Tocantins.
She was the state secretary of Education and Culture between 1998 and 2009. In 2010, she was elected federal deputy, being re-elected for three consecutive terms. In 2022, she was elected senator of the Republic.
Nationally recognized for her technical expertise, she was the rapporteur for Fundeb and the National Education System , playing a decisive role in consolidating permanent funding for basic education. In the Senate, she continues to act as a reference in educational policies.
