Marcelo Pires Moraes is a federal deputy for Rio Grande do Sul , born on August 7, 1979, in Porto Alegre (RS) . Currently affiliated with the Liberal Party (PL) , Marcelo Moraes has been in the House of Representatives since 2019, when he entered his first federal term originally with the PTB and later migrated to the PL, being re-elected in 2022 for the 2023–2027 legislature. Before arriving in Congress, he had political activity in the state as a councilman in Santa Cruz do Sul and a state deputy in Rio Grande do Sul , experiences that shaped his base of action on regional issues and state demands.

Political Career

In the institutional sphere, Marcelo Moraes has held prominent positions both within committees and in representing the Rio Grande do Sul delegation. In 2025, he assumed leadership of the Rio Grande do Sul delegation in the House of Representatives , leading the state's parliamentarians and coordinating priority agendas with the federal government and other representatives.
