Delegado Marcelo Freitas

Delegate Marcelo Eduardo Freitas was born on March 4, 1976, in Montes Claros (MG) . He is a federal police delegate , professor, and holds a doctorate in Legal and Social Sciences, with a background in Law (undergraduate and postgraduate studies in Procedural Law and Public Law). Before his parliamentary career, he served as a regional delegate for combating organized crime in Minas Gerais and as an advisor in legal bodies, with an emphasis on public security and combating corruption.

Political Career

In his political career , Marcelo Freitas was elected federal deputy for Minas Gerais in 2018 by the PSL party , with 58,176 votes, and re-elected in 2022 by União Brasil (UNIÃO-MG) with 82,894 votes, currently serving his second term in the House of Representatives (2023-2027) .
