Luiz Philippe de Orleans e Bragança

Luiz Philippe de Orléans e Bragança was born on April 3, 1969, in Rio de Janeiro. He is a political scientist, administrator, and businessman, with a master's degree from the USA and an MBA from Europe. He comes from a family with a Brazilian historical heritage, being a direct descendant of the Brazilian imperial house (the Orléans-e-Bragança family).

Political career

He was elected federal deputy for São Paulo in 2018 by the Social Liberal Party (PSL), with more than 118,000 votes. In 2022 he was re-elected by the Liberal Party (PL) for the 2023-2027 term. In his party career, he has previously been a member of other parties and held leadership positions in Congress.

Performance in the National Congress

In the House of Representatives, Luiz Philippe has defended proposals focused on economic freedom, reducing the size of the State, decentralizing power, and structural reforms. According to the House of Representatives's official website, by 2025 he was the author of 265 proposals and the rapporteur for 14 projects. He serves as a full member of the Committee on Foreign Relations and National Defense (CREDN) and as an alternate member of committees such as Finance and Taxation, Economic Development, and Constitution, Justice and Citizenship (CCJC).
