Trajectory
Lindbergh Farias returned to the House of Representatives with the support of 152,219 voters, consolidating his political position. His trajectory gained notoriety in the political scene in 1992, when he stood out as a student leader. At the time, as president of the National Union of Students (UNE), he led the "Painted Faces" movement, which demanded the impeachment of then-President Fernando Collor.
He had previously served as a federal deputy and senator, in addition to holding the position of city councilman in Rio de Janeiro. Besides his legislative career, Lindbergh also had executive experience as mayor of Nova Iguaçu, a municipality located in the Baixada Fluminense region. His tenure as mayor was marked by the creation of innovative programs, such as the Bairro Escola (Neighborhood School) program, which brought benefits to the local population.
During his term as senator, Lindbergh Farias chaired the Economic Affairs Committee and served as the leader of the Workers' Party (PT) in the Senate. His work was recognized in 2011 when he was highlighted by Congresso em Foco as one of the most active senators in the country. As an author, he published the book "Oil Royalties: The Rules of the Game," released in 2011, demonstrating his involvement in issues of national importance.
Lindbergh is a politician who has been a member of different parties throughout his career, having belonged to the PT, PCdoB, and PSTU. This diverse party trajectory reflects his search for political spaces that are aligned with his convictions and proposals.
