Luiz Fernando Ramos Faria is a Brazilian politician, engineer, businessman, and farmer , born on September 12, 1957, in Santos Dumont (MG) . Before entering federal legislative life, he was president of the São Luiz Group , has a strong presence in the agricultural sector, and led the Rural Union of Santos Dumont for years, an experience that guides part of his political activity focused on regional development and the productive sector of Minas Gerais.
In his political career , Luiz Fernando Faria was elected state deputy in Minas Gerais before reaching the National Congress. He was first elected federal deputy in 2007 by the PP party , being re-elected in 2011 and 2015, and returned in 2023 for the 2023-2027 legislature as a federal deputy for the PSD-MG party . Throughout his terms, he served as vice-leader of the PP and vice-leader of a parliamentary bloc (MDB, PSD, Republicanos, PODE) in 2024 , in addition to coordinating the Minas Gerais delegation in the National Congress , articulating budgetary and political priorities for Minas Gerais.
In the National Congress , Luiz Fernando Faria actively participates in committees and proposals. In the 57th Legislature, he is a member of the Transportation and Highways Committee and a member of the Special Committee on the Municipal Participation Fund and Constitutional Funds for the South/Southeast (PEC 231/19), in addition to serving as an alternate member of the Mines and Energy Committee and another specialized committee (PLP 152/25). In 2025, he registered 33 proposals of his authorship and 2 reported on the House of Representatives's website. Among the projects presented are PL 5488/2023 , which amends provisions of the Brazilian Traffic Code to provide for speed measuring devices for the purpose of proving infractions ; and PL 4213/2024 , which proposes a new wording for the Statute of the Legal Profession and the OAB (Brazilian Bar Association ). and Bill 3268/2023 , which seeks to create extrajudicial procedures for adverse possession and compulsory adjudication of movable property in the Registry Offices of Titles and Documents . His parliamentary work combines initiatives in transportation, civil law, and professional regulations, in addition to strategic participation in federal and infrastructure issues.
