Trajectory
Baleia Rossi is a Brazilian politician who began his political career at the age of 20, when he was elected councilman of Ribeirão Preto in 1992. He was re-elected twice more in the 1996 and 2000 elections, and during that period, he served as Municipal Secretary of Sports for one year.
In 2002, Baleia Rossi left the Ribeirão Preto City Council to assume the mandate of state deputy. He continued his political career by running for mayor of Ribeirão Preto in 2004, reaching the second round of the election, but did not win.
In 2006, he was elected leader of the PMDB caucus in the Legislative Assembly of São Paulo and was re-elected as a state representative. In 2010, he won his third term as a state representative.
Baleia Rossi also played leadership roles within the PMDB. In 2011, he assumed the presidency of the party's state directorate in São Paulo. Subsequently, in Brasília, he was elected federal deputy for three consecutive terms, being chosen by acclamation as the leader of the PMDB caucus in May 2016.
In 2019, he achieved the position of national president of the MDB, a position he holds to this day. His trajectory culminated in the 2022 election, when he was re-elected with an impressive 236,400 votes. Baleia Rossi is a political figure who has accumulated experience and relevance within the Brazilian political landscape, having served in various leadership positions.

I request, pursuant to Article 155, item I, of the Internal Regulations of the House of Representatives, an Urgent Procedure for Bill 2158/23, authored by Senator EFRAIM FILHO, UNIÃO/PB, which amends Law No. 5,991, of December 17, 1973, which "provides for the Sanitary Control of the Trade in Drugs, Medicines, Pharmaceutical Inputs and Related Products, and takes other measures", to regulate the sale of medicines in pharmacies or drugstores located in the sales area of supermarkets.
