Affiliated with the Republicanos party , he began his political career at a young age in Lagarto (SE) , where he served as a city councilor and later as a state representative in the Legislative Assembly of Sergipe , before moving to the federal level. In his institutional political career , Gustinho Ribeiro serves his term in the House of Representatives as a member of the Republicanos-SE party and has participated in party leadership roles, including positions as deputy leader in different blocs and coalitions, both within the party caucus and in more significant political maneuvers within the House. His parliamentary work also involves participation in committees, debates, and relevant votes, as well as strengthening his political base in Sergipe, where he acts as the state president of the party and maintains relationships with mayors and local leaders to bolster his political influence.
In legislative activity , although official data on proposals in 2025 indicate that he did not register any bills that year, Gustinho Ribeiro's term has already seen involvement in proposals in the House of Representatives and he has previously presented several initiatives focused on topics such as education, culture, sports, and public policies aimed at students and youth, such as projects to encourage students to purchase books and school recycling programs, as well as initiatives aimed at providing ophthalmological care to students and support for university mothers, among other proposals formulated in his first years in office.
