Lucas Ramos

Lucas Cavalcanti Ramos was born on February 14, 1986 , in Recife (PE) . A business administrator with a degree in communication, he began his professional career in public administration and the private sector before entering politics. Affiliated with the PSB (Brazilian Socialist Party) , he served two terms as a state representative in Pernambuco and also as the state secretary of Science, Technology and Innovation before being elected federal deputy for the state of Pernambuco for the 2023–2027 legislature in the House of Representatives.

Political Career

Throughout his political career, Lucas Ramos built an electoral base in various regions of Pernambuco, becoming one of the PSB's leading figures in the National Congress. Leading parliamentary committees and activities, his work reflects themes such as labor, technology, and innovation. Before assuming his federal mandate, he gained prominence in the state Legislative Assembly and the government of Pernambuco, which helped him consolidate his election to Brasília in 2022.

Performance in the House of Representatives

In Congress, he has authored 153 proposals and reported on 28 up to the year 2025, serving as a member of the Science, Technology and Innovation Committee and the Special Committees on Artificial Intelligence (PL 2338/23) and on the Regulation of App-Based Workers (PLP 152/25) , in addition to being an alternate member of other committees such as Communication and Labor. He was president of the Labor Committee between March 2024 and March 2025 and, since April 2025, 2nd vice-president of the Science, Technology and Innovation Committee ; he also serves as vice-president of the Brazil/China Parliamentary Group . Among his projects are initiatives such as PL 6028/2025 (which deals with registration obligations for digital journals) and reports such as PL 2215/2023 .
