Trajectory
Leur Lomanto Júnior was born in Jequié, Bahia, on February 19, 1982. He graduated in Business Administration from the University of Salvador (UNIFACS) and has a specialization in Public Management.
He is the son of former federal deputy and former mayor of Jequié, Leur Lomanto , and grandson of former governor of Bahia , Antônio Lomanto Júnior , belonging to one of the most traditional political families in the state. Married and a father, he maintains his political base strongly linked to the municipality of Jequié and the interior of Bahia.
Leur Lomanto Júnior began his political career in 2004 , when he was elected councilman of Jequié . In 2006, he was elected state deputy of Bahia , a position he held for four consecutive terms (2007–2019).
In 2018, he was elected federal deputy for Bahia by the DEM (now União Brasil) , with approximately 113,000 votes , making his debut in the House of Representatives. In 2022, he won re-election , also representing União Brasil , reinforcing his political leadership in the interior of Bahia.
In the House of Representatives, Leur Lomanto Júnior works on issues related to infrastructure, health, regional development, and municipalism .
He participated in committees such as the Transportation and Highways Committee (CVT) and the Mines and Energy Committee (CME) , in addition to being part of parliamentary fronts in defense of the municipality , tourism , and agribusiness .
Among its main causes are:
Advocating for public health, especially with resources for regional hospitals in Bahia;
Investments in infrastructure and logistics, with a focus on highways and railways in the state;
Encouraging regional development and strengthening local economies;
Advocating for municipalism, with increased allocation of federal funds to municipalities;
Support for projects that generate employment and income, especially for young people.

I request, pursuant to Article 155, item I, of the Internal Regulations of the House of Representatives, an Urgent Procedure for Bill 2158/23, authored by Senator EFRAIM FILHO, UNIÃO/PB, which amends Law No. 5,991, of December 17, 1973, which "provides for the Sanitary Control of the Trade in Drugs, Medicines, Pharmaceutical Inputs and Related Products, and takes other measures", to regulate the sale of medicines in pharmacies or drugstores located in the sales area of supermarkets.
