Trajectory

Laura Carneiro grew up in a political and institutional environment, being the daughter of Nelson Carneiro , a senator and one of the most influential figures in the Brazilian Parliament throughout the 20th century. Her exposure to the legislative environment shaped her political development from an early age, especially regarding the central role of the National Congress in the formulation of public policies.

Before holding elected office, she was a parliamentary advisor to Ulysses Guimarães in the 1980s and worked on initiatives related to social and administrative areas, focusing on public policies aimed at social protection, childhood, and family.
