Keniston de Jesus Rêgo Braga was born on June 2, 1967, in the municipality of Abaetetuba, in the state of Pará. Before entering elected politics, he worked as a businessman and built his career in municipal public administration, especially in Parauapebas, where he held strategic positions in financial and governmental management. In 2022, he was elected federal deputy for Pará, beginning his term in the House of Representatives in the 2023–2027 legislature.
His political career is marked by experience in the municipal Executive branch, having held positions such as Secretary of Finance and Special Secretary of Government in Parauapebas. This experience gave him regional prominence and consolidated his name as one of the main political leaders in the municipality and the southeastern region of Pará. Affiliated with the MDB, Keniston Braga was elected federal deputy with a significant vote, standing out as a renewal within the party in the state.
In the National Congress, Keniston Braga serves as a federal deputy, acting as vice-leader in party blocs formed by the MDB and allied parties. He is a full member of the Mines and Energy Committee and the Tourism Committee, in addition to being a member of special committees, such as the one dealing with federal competencies in public security. As of 2025, he has 26 proposals of his own authorship and 1 of his own report registered in the House of Representatives, including PL 1315/2024 , focused on the fishing sector, and the report on PL 2499/2020 , within the scope of the Economic Development Committee.
