Trajectory
Júlio Lopes was born on April 6, 1959, in Rio de Janeiro. He graduated in Business Administration and completed postgraduate studies in School Administration and Marketing at the Faculty of Public and Economic Sciences of Rio de Janeiro. His professional career included work in the public sector, having served as Secretary of Transportation for the State of Rio de Janeiro before his parliamentary career.
His federal political career began in 2002, when he was elected federal deputy for the state of Rio de Janeiro by the PP party. He has served several terms and returned to the House of Representatives after being re-elected in 2022, taking office for the 2023-2027 legislature.
In the National Congress, Júlio Lopes stands out for his work focused on development, technology and innovation, public safety, and energy infrastructure. He is a member of the Mines and Energy Committee and the Economic Development Committee, participates in working groups such as the Administrative Reform Committee, and serves on committees such as Foreign Relations and National Defense. His legislative output includes dozens of original proposals and reports, reflecting his technical and legislative involvement.
