Júlio Ferraz Arcoverde was born on February 14, 1966, in Teresina (PI) . A lawyer and businessman, he began his professional life in legal and business activities in Piauí before entering politics. He is married and the father of three children, and is affiliated with the Progressistas (PP) party , for which he was elected federal deputy for Piauí for the 2023–2027 legislature in the House of Representatives with approximately 117,000 votes in 2022.
His political career includes two consecutive terms as a state representative for Piauí (2014–2022) , a period in which he consolidated regional influence and party leadership, including serving as president of the PP's state directorate. Before reaching the National Congress, he also held positions in public service such as director-general of DETRAN Piauí , director-general of DENATRAN , president of AGESPISA , and municipal secretary of Sports and Leisure in Teresina .
In the National Congress , Júlio Arcoverde is a federal deputy (2023–2027) and, in 2023, he chaired the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry into Match-Fixing in Football Matches and in 2024 was elected president of the Joint Budget Committee (CMO) , one of the most strategic in the Legislature. According to official data, by 2025 he has 59 proposals of his own authorship and 3 of his own report registered in the House of Representatives. Among the projects presented are initiatives such as PL 74/2025 (establishes the National Football Book Day), PL 2179/2025 (inserts the Exposoja event into the National Tourism Calendar) and PL 2212/2025 (includes the Caprinova festival in the Official Tourist Calendar).
Acknowledgements
Júlio Arcoverde received the Parliamentary Excellence Award from the Politicians Ranking in 2024, with a score of 8.43, making him the 1st best deputy in Piauí and 26th in the overall ranking.

I request, pursuant to Article 155, item I, of the Internal Regulations of the House of Representatives, an Urgent Procedure for Bill 2158/23, authored by Senator EFRAIM FILHO, UNIÃO/PB, which amends Law No. 5,991, of December 17, 1973, which "provides for the Sanitary Control of the Trade in Drugs, Medicines, Pharmaceutical Inputs and Related Products, and takes other measures", to regulate the sale of medicines in pharmacies or drugstores located in the sales area of supermarkets.
