Júlio César Ribeiro, born in São Bernardo do Campo/SP on February 24, 1975, is a Brazilian lawyer, pastor, and politician, affiliated with the Republicanos party. He currently serves as a federal deputy for the Federal District since February 2019. He holds a law degree from Ibirapuera University. In 1994, he became a pastor at the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God (IURD).
In 2012, Júlio César Ribeiro moved to Brasília, where he was appointed by Governor Agnelo Queiroz as deputy secretary of the Sports Secretariat and, in September of the same year, was named Secretary of Sports.
In 2014, he was elected district deputy for the Federal District, obtaining 29,384 votes (1.93%). During the seventh legislature, he was secretary of the board of directors, remaining in the position until 2016, when he was removed from office, along with the other leaders of the house, by the Court of Justice during the investigations of Operation Drácon . He was the leader of Governor Rodrigo Rollemberg's governing base in the House of Representatives.
In 2018, he was elected federal deputy for the Federal District with 79,775 votes , the fourth highest vote count for the position in that election. In the House of Representatives, he served as vice-leader of his party.
In 2019, Júlio César Ribeiro became a defendant in a lawsuit for administrative misconduct, filed as part of the investigations of Operation Drácon. According to prosecutors, he had participated in a scheme in the Legislative House of Representatives that solicited bribes for the release of parliamentary amendments.
In 2022, he was re-elected as a federal deputy for the Federal District with 76,274 votes.
During his term as a federal deputy, Júlio César Ribeiro has distinguished himself through his work on issues related to public morality, the defense of Christian values, and conservative policies.
He voted in favor of the 2019 Pension Reform .
