Trajectory
Julia Pedroso Zanatta was born in Criciúma/SC on March 20, 1985. She holds degrees in Journalism from the University of Southern Santa Catarina (Unisul, 2004-2008) and in Law from Faculdade Cesusc (2013-2018), both in Florianópolis. Before entering public life, she worked for 12 years as a political communications advisor in Santa Catarina.
Zanatta joined the Liberal Party (PL) in 2020 and, in the same year, ran for Mayor of Criciúma, finishing in third place with 6,953 votes (7.03%). Until March 2022, she held the position of regional coordinator for the south of Embratur. In 2022, she was elected federal deputy for Santa Catarina, with 111,588 votes, being the sixth most voted in the state.
Júlia Zanatta is the vice-leader of the Liberal Party in the House of Representatives. She is a member of the Constitution and Justice and Citizenship Committee (CCJC), the Women's Rights Defense Committee (CMulher), the Agriculture, Livestock, Supply and Rural Development Committee (CAPADR), and the Communications Committee (CCOM). In her first six months in office, she had her first bill approved, PL 737/2023, which guarantees the right to a companion during medical examinations, consultations, and procedures. Her main causes include the right to civilian armament and self-defense, the defense of private property, the protection of life from conception, freedom of expression, tax reduction, the strengthening of agribusiness, and opposition to ideological indoctrination in schools.
Acknowledgements
Julia Zanatta received the Parliamentary Excellence Award from the Politicians Ranking in 2023, 2024, and 2026, ranking as the 5th best parliamentarian in Santa Catarina and 72nd overall for the entire Legislature.

I request, pursuant to Article 155, item I, of the Internal Regulations of the House of Representatives, an Urgent Procedure for Bill 2158/23, authored by Senator EFRAIM FILHO, UNIÃO/PB, which amends Law No. 5,991, of December 17, 1973, which "provides for the Sanitary Control of the Trade in Drugs, Medicines, Pharmaceutical Inputs and Related Products, and takes other measures", to regulate the sale of medicines in pharmacies or drugstores located in the sales area of supermarkets.
