Trajectory
Juarez Alves da Costa was born on January 20, 1960 , in Londrina (PR) and is a businessman by training, based for decades in Mato Grosso , where he built his trajectory of local leadership. Before reaching the federal sphere, he began his public life as a city councilor in Sinop , was a state deputy and mayor of Sinop for two terms , exercising a strong connection with municipal agendas and regional development.
In the political field, he was elected federal deputy for Mato Grosso by the MDB in 2018 , assuming his mandate in 2019 , and re-elected for the period 2023–2027 . Throughout his career in the House of Representatives, he also held leadership positions such as vice-leader of parliamentary blocs and even became coordinator of the federal caucus of Mato Grosso , working in the articulation between the state's parliamentarians and defending regional interests.
In his work in Congress, Juarez Costa actively participates in committees such as the Constitution, Justice and Citizenship Committee (CCJC) and as an alternate member of the Agriculture, Livestock, Supply and Rural Development Committee . According to data from the House of Representatives, he has presented more than 100 proposals of his own authorship and had 5 reports registered until 2025. Among his projects are Bill No. 337/2022 , which proposes the exclusion of Mato Grosso from the Legal Amazon; Bill No. 1205/2025 , on the inclusion of a vaccine against respiratory viruses in the National Immunization Program (PNI); Bill No. 2984/2025 , which prohibits automatic telemarketing calls; Bill No. 3925/2025 , expanding the exemption from fees for public examinations; and Bill No. 4962/2024 , which establishes Podiatrist's Day. and Bill No. 5287/2025 , to amend the rules for emergency protective measures, in addition to Bill No. 170/2025 on the basis for calculating the IPVA (Vehicle Property Tax).
