Trajectory
Beto Faro built his career within the rural labor movement. A family farmer, he began his public activism organizing rural workers in Pará, becoming a relevant union leader in the Northern region. He presided over rural unions, the Federation of Agricultural Workers of Pará, and played an active role in the Unified Workers' Central (CUT), consolidating a political base strongly linked to family farming and environmental issues associated with the sustainable use of land.
He entered institutional political life as a federal deputy in 2007, being re-elected for four consecutive terms. Throughout this period, he consolidated himself as one of the main leaders of the PT (Workers' Party) in Pará, presiding over the party's state directorate. In 2022, he was elected senator of the Republic.
In the Senate, she advocates for Pronaf (National Program for Strengthening Family Farming), family farming, agrarian reform, and sustainable development policies. She maintains alignment with environmental agendas reconciled with social inclusion and income generation in rural areas, being one of the PT's (Workers' Party) voices on issues related to the countryside and the Amazon.
