Albuquerque

José Francisco Lopes de Albuquerque was born on January 25, 1974, in Moraújo (CE) and is a theologian, state public servant, and former member of the Brazilian Army . He participated in various infrastructure projects throughout his life before settling in Boa Vista (RR) , where he built his family and local political career. He is married and the father of three children. He holds a degree in Theology from the Faculty of Theology of Boa Vista and has experience as a taxi driver and public servant before assuming his federal mandate.

Political career

He entered politics as a city councilor in Boa Vista , being elected in 2016 and re-elected in 2020 for the capital of Roraima, a period in which he presented more than 700 proposals aimed at improving municipal public services and serving the population. In 2022, he was elected federal deputy for Roraima by the Republicanos party with 14,015 votes , also becoming one of the first parliamentarians to take office in the 57th Legislature on February 1, 2023, according to regionalization criteria.

Performance in the House of Representatives

In the National Congress , Albuquerque has a significant parliamentary presence, with 288 proposals authored by him and 79 reported on until 2025, according to official records from the House of Representatives. He is a member of the Agriculture, Livestock, Supply and Rural Development Committee and previously also a member of the Public Security and Combating Organized Crime Committee , in addition to serving as an alternate member of committees such as Foreign Relations and National Defense and Communication ; he also serves on the Ethics and Parliamentary Decorum Council , where he has been 1st vice-president and 2nd vice-president . Among his projects are matters in various areas, such as PL 1197/2023 , which prohibits confrontation between the accused and the victim in cases of violence against women, as well as other proposals covering social rights, security and regional development.
