Trajectory
Alexandre Guimarães Domingues was born on February 19, 1986, in Araguaína, Tocantins. He graduated in Law from the University of Gurupi (UNIRG) and also worked in the rural sector as a producer, integrating the economic activities of the northern region of the state.
In his political career, Guimarães entered the municipal executive branch as vice-mayor of Novo Repartimento (PA) between 2017 and 2020. In 2022, he was elected federal deputy for the state of Tocantins, assuming office on February 1, 2023, representing the Republicanos party, with 54,703 votes. In 2024, he joined the Brazilian Democratic Movement (MDB) and assumed the state presidency of the party in Tocantins.
In the House of Representatives, Alexandre Guimarães has focused his work on issues related to agribusiness, public safety, job creation, tax simplification, and the efficiency of public administration. He is a member of committees relevant to his electoral base and continues to develop projects that benefit Northern Brazil.
Acknowledgements
Alexandre Guimarães received the Parliamentary Excellence Award from the 2025 Politicians Ranking in 2026, being the best parliamentarian in Tocantins and 79th in the overall ranking for the Legislature.

I request, pursuant to Article 155, item I, of the Internal Regulations of the House of Representatives, an Urgent Procedure for Bill 2158/23, authored by Senator EFRAIM FILHO, UNIÃO/PB, which amends Law No. 5,991, of December 17, 1973, which "provides for the Sanitary Control of the Trade in Drugs, Medicines, Pharmaceutical Inputs and Related Products, and takes other measures", to regulate the sale of medicines in pharmacies or drugstores located in the sales area of supermarkets.
