Trajectory
Jorge Kajuru built a long and well-known career in sports and political journalism. He worked in radio and television, with stints at major networks, becoming a national public figure in the 1990s. His career was marked by conflicts with sports leaders, lawsuits, and professional dismissals, which contributed to building a public image associated with confrontation and direct criticism of authorities and institutions.
He entered institutional politics in 2016, when he was elected city councilor in Goiânia. In 2018, he was elected senator for Goiás, propelled by an anti-corruption discourse and a commitment to constant oversight of public power. Throughout his term, he has moved between political parties, currently affiliated with the PSB.
In the Senate, Kajuru's performance is marked by strong media exposure, frequent submission of information requests, participation in Parliamentary Commissions of Inquiry (CPIs), and speeches aimed at criticizing authorities, public contracts, and state spending. His term is characterized by individualized action and direct communication with the electorate.
