Trajectory
Jorge Goetten de Lima, born in Mirim Doce/SC on April 10, 1962, holds a complete higher education. While still young, he moved to Rio do Sul/SC, where he worked as a waiter before acquiring his own establishment. Later, he settled in Itajaí/SC, where, in 1985, he founded a company focused on the security, cleaning, facilities, and events sectors, of which he is the general director. He also has family connections to politics. His father was a City Councilor in Mirim Doce, and his brother Nelson Goetten had a broader political career, including serving as a City Councilor, Mayor of Taió, and holding positions as State Representative and Federal Representative for Santa Catarina.
Jorge Goetten first ran for federal deputy for Santa Catarina in 2018, representing the Republican Party (PR), obtaining 61,839 votes and becoming an alternate. He assumed the mandate as an alternate in October 2020, remaining until January 2021. In 2022, he was elected federal deputy for the state with 159,339 votes, becoming the third most voted candidate in Santa Catarina in that election.
As a member of parliament, Jorge Goetten's work has focused on defending small entrepreneurs and addressing the floods that hit Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul. He has served as 1st and 3rd Vice-President of the Industry, Commerce and Services Committee (CICS) and acted as deputy leader of his party in the House of Representatives. In June 2024, he joined the Republicanos party, assuming the state presidency of the party in Santa Catarina, a position he held until April 2026.
