Júnior Ferrari

Júnior Ferrari was born on July 13, 1967, in Oriximiná, Pará. A lawyer by training, he completed his bachelor's degree in Law at the Federal University of Pará (UFPA) between 1985 and 1990. He became involved in state politics in his home state before rising to the federal level.

Political career

In the political arena, Júnior Ferrari served as a state representative for Pará for several consecutive terms, between 2003 and 2019, initially representing the PTB and later the PSD. In 2018, he was elected federal deputy for Pará and took office on February 1, 2019. He was re-elected for the 2023-2027 term as a federal deputy for the same party, the PSD. Within the party, he has held internal leadership positions, such as vice-leader of the PSD and vice-leader of parliamentary blocs.

Performance in the National Congress

In the National Congress, Júnior Ferrari has been working with a special focus on the areas of mining, energy, regional development, and infrastructure. He was elected president of the Mines and Energy Committee (CME) of the House of Representatives in March 2024. He is also a full member of the Mines and Energy Committee and an alternate member of the Finance and Taxation Committee. In 2025, according to the House of Representatives's website, he presented 77 proposals of his own authorship and reported on 2 projects. His legislative career shows a profile of articulation focused on the competitiveness of the country's mineral and energy sectors, as well as the defense of priority agendas for Northern Brazil.
