Jefferson Alves de Campos (known as Jefferson Campos ) is a Brazilian lawyer, pastor, and politician , born on October 26, 1964, in Ourinhos (SP) . He holds a law degree and is also known for his religious work as a pastor in the Quadrangular Gospel Church ; he built his public career starting as a city councilor in Sorocaba before reaching the National Congress.
In his political career , Jefferson Campos was first elected federal deputy in 2003 and served terms in the legislatures of 2003-2007, 2007-2011, 2011-2015, 2015-2019, 2019-2023 and 2023-2027 , representing the state of São Paulo in the House of Representatives under different parties over time, including PMDB, PTB, PSB, PSD and currently PL , being re-elected in 2022 with 155,336 votes . In his parliamentary career, he stood out in issues of social inclusion, consumer rights, family protection and civil liberties , also securing amendments and resources for public health and hospitals in his constituency.
In the National Congress , Jefferson Campos has a continuous legislative activity, presenting several bills covering social, civil, and regulatory issues, in addition to participating in committees and parliamentary fronts. His work includes proposals such as Bill 1986/2024 , which amends the National Policy for Pediatric Oncology Care to institute awareness campaigns about the symptoms of childhood cancer ; Bill 2031/2024 , which adds provisions to the Brazilian Traffic Code (Law No. 9.503/1997) ; Bill 4460/2023 , which amends the Internet Law (Marco Civil – Law No. 12.965/2014) to hold providers liable for damages resulting from fraud such as swindling ; and Bill 4701/2024 , which provides for tax incentives for the use of recycled materials in industry . Bill 4700/2024 , which protects the right to freedom of conscience and belief in public spaces ; Bill 4463/2024 , which guarantees virtual communication between lawyers and incarcerated clients ; and Bill 4380/2024 , which mandates warnings about the harmful effects of smoking in audiovisual productions , reflecting its work in civil rights, traffic, data protection, public health, and access to justice .
