Jeferson Rodrigues

Jeferson Rodrigues Lemos was born in Goiânia, Goiás, on May 1, 1975. He is the son of Maria Vieira Lemos Silva and Cantídio Rodrigues Lemos. He has completed secondary education and, in addition to his political activity, serves as a pastor in the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God.

Political career

Jeferson Rodrigues began his public career as head of the Extraordinary Secretariat for Religious and Social Affairs in Goiás, between 2011 and 2013, as well as special advisor to the state governor. In the 2014 state elections, he ran for state representative for the PRB (now Republicanos) and became an alternate, assuming the position in 2016 after the resignation of the incumbent. In 2018, he was re-elected state representative with a higher vote count. In 2022, he ran for federal deputy and was elected to the 2023-2027 legislature, with 56,026 votes representing Goiás for Republicanos. He also holds a party leadership position: he is the president of Republicanos in Goiás.

Performance in the National Congress

Since taking office as a federal deputy in February 2023, Jeferson Rodrigues has presented legislative proposals; for example, in 2025, approximately 15 of his proposals have been registered to date. He serves as a full member of the Health Committee and is an alternate member of the Mines and Energy Committees. In his previous terms in the Legislative Assembly of Goiás, he promoted projects focused on families, the elderly, social policies, and programs related to mental health, advocacy, and religious institutions. He also has a strong presence in the plenary: he actively participates in roll-call votes.
